Language is weird, and even weirder in the south! TOP THREE SLANG SURVIVAL TIPS....

1.  "COKE" is the word for every soft drink or soda.  Ex:  Waiter: what kind of coke would you like?  You: a Sprite

2.  Listen closing when someone says "YOU GOOD"

• You Good = Are you Ok?

•  

  You Good = You are ok.

•  

  You Good = How have you been?

•  

  You Good = Did you get enough?

•  

  You Good = You're welcome.

•  

  You Good = No need to say sorry.

•  

  You Good = You need some money?

3.  Most important - the polite way to insult your friends ..."Bless your heart"

You can get away with saying just about anything about someone if you follow with "bless their heart."

He's as dumb as a rock ... bless his heart!

She keeps here house as dirty as a pig pen ... bless her heart!

(You gotta say the first half with a stern condemning tone, but second with a soft consoling tone.)

Try it with you friends -  ( insert friends name ) is ( insult ) ... bless his/her heart!
